It’s been over a year since I launched Dear Partisan and my biggest question when I started was how long I’d be able to keep up with it. Despite not having a lot of time or mental energy outside of work and family, I’m pleased to have managed to keep it somewhat alive. That said, it has been a bit of a struggle to keep up with and I have many more topics that I’d like to cover than I’ve been able to find time to write about. And many are relevant to the upcoming election, so I’m running out of time.
I intend to continue producing occasional written content here, but thought I’d experiment with lightly edited audio monologues as a way to get these thoughts out there with somewhat less time investment. Since this is something entirely new for me, why not start with an entirely new topic for this Substack? In this inaugural episode, I share some thoughts on generative AI (GenAI) from my typically middle-of-the-road perspective.
Note: I speculate a bit about the future prospects of some companies in this space, but this is not financial advice, and I very well may be wrong (I’ve had no consistent success at stock-picking so take this with a large grain of salt!).
